Something New!

I tried a new craft... and liked it! Anyone that reads my blog knows that I'm a bit all over the place when it comes to crafting. I pretty much do anything, but knitting... I can't knit for beans. And not for lack of trying either... Anyway, today I made my first book! Sadly, I'm not keeping it... Guess that means I'll just have to make another one! Here are some brag pics...

Yay me! But I must give the proper credit(I'm crafty but I'm not that good!); here's a link to the tute I used: Star Book. I did, however, change it up just a bit... I added an extra point; there are eight points on my star and the tute had seven. I also made all of my pages pocket pages; the tute only had two pocket pages and the rest were just decorative pages(I'm all about function people!). I'm very excited to send this off to my swap partner, to say the least!

And, if you read my Home Life Blog then you've heard all about our adventures at the New Hampshire Sheep and Wool Festival(and even seen pictures of my littles!). I have yet to start playing with the alpaca fleece I bought... all in good time, my pretty, all in good time. I'm currently swamped with swap goodies. Let see...

~ For the SSS: five techie cozies are done!

~ Also for the SSS: five skeins of hand dyed wool yarn are done; click here for pictures(they're so pretty!)

~ For the I Want What I Can't Make Swap: one ATC book done, scroll up for that one!

~ For the Crafty Detective Swap: three crochet cotton grocery bags done!

~ Also for the Crafty Detective Swap: Ha! Thought I was going to give it all away! I bought various other goodies and crafted a few other fun items for my stalkee...

Hey Fellow Craft lover,

I was looking around for various web rings to join and came across your page. I also love to crochet, bead, scrapbook, etc...etc. Would love to learn to knit, but I have enough to keep me busy. Hope you stop by my site some time and we can exchange some idea. :) Have a wonderful day!

Your book is awesome! I am a huge fan of bookmaking in general. I actually started a book a while back. I've yet to finish it, but I will!
